WELKOM OP DE SITE VAN CULTURESCOPE

CultureScope is een initiatief van Specialisten in diversiteit! en het bureau Uitzicht op inzicht. Deze site is het startpunt voor iedereen die zich wil verdiepen in achtergronden van alle landen van de Europese Unie.

CultureScope heeft zich tot doel gesteld om het kenniscentrum te zijn voor wie zich internationaal oriënteert, bijv uit persoonlijke interesse of in het kader van vakantie, onderwijs of nieuwsgaring. Ook succes bij internationale uitwisseling en internationaal overleg en zaken doen begint in onze optiek met een gedegen voorbereiding, waarbij op het onderwerp toegespitste kennis van de cultuur van het betreffende land de basis vormt voor een geslaagde entree.

Nieuwste updates

  Bulgarije is volledig bijgewerkt op 14 januari 2013 met een zeer complete verzameling van links. Onder bevolking staat de uitslag van de nieuwe editie (veldwerk 2010) van de MIPEX die immigrant vriendelijkheid meet in alle EU landen (de uitslag voor NL staat ook in de tabel). Vanwege de campagnes voor de verkiezingen van 12 september 2012 en stijgende bezoekersaantallen zijn de economieën van Griekenland, Spanje en Italië afgelopen zomer geupdate. Rond juni 2013 zal een complete analyse van Kroatië (EU lid per 1 juli a.s.) aan deze website worden toegevoegd.

In aansluiting op de aflevering van de TV serie vrijheid, gelijkheid en broederschap van 19 april en op de komende verkiezingsdebatten is op http://www.equalitytrust.org.uk/why/evidence het bewijs te vinden voor de desastreuze gevolgen van inkomensongelijkheid. Alle links die bijv. nodig zouden zijn voor een up-to-date herhaling van het onderzoek in alle EU landen staan hier op culturescope in de meest recente landenupdates.

On TripAdvisor.com you can find your restaurant of choice (and much more) in Bulgaria (the latest update on this website) or wherever you are (almost). On Turnaround model  you will find an excellent tool for school and educational improvement. It has also been very succesfully applied in Dutch multi-ethnic low performance schools. Eurobarometers are an important source on opinion research. The most recent findings are in the latest country updates. The latest Eurobarometers can be found on http://ec.europa.eu/public_opinion/index_en.htm. This is the real candystore for anywhone who wants to become an adept in EU opinion research.

International / clients/ donations

On range of subjects and content this website is more complete than all existing EU or individual country websites. Due to lack of funds, it has not been translated thus far. The sources and links in it however are very reliable and worthwhile for researchers worldwide because they refer virtually all to texts in English (especially in the latest updates: Scandinavian country's, Baltic states, Romania and Bulgaria). Due to the Eurocrisis, the Dutch parliamentary elections on september 12 and (still) rising visitor numbers; the economy’s of Greece, Spain and Italy have been updated last summer. This may support those who are on a fact-finding mission. At around June  a complete analysis of Croatia will be added to this website (full EU membership of Croatia is due on July 1st). 

With catchword culturescope we reach over 200 visitors each day (source google analytics) and with all cathwords over 4000 (Plesk), which adds up to well over a million visits each year. About half of the visitors are from educational institutions. Linked in users can reach the author (the "Uitzicht op inzicht" partner) on the link below.

  This website started as a private initiative and has never been paid or subsidized. It has been on the internet for over 5 years now. If you want a comparable analysis of your (non EU) country, province, state (USA, Germany, Russian federation etc.) or region you can use the link above to get in touch. A complete analysis with all subjects in it is 3 months of work (with 35 hour weeks) and I 'll have to charge you €2500 a month for that (an analyis about specific subjects is possible as well). Other options are sponsored links on pages at your own choice (fill out the contact form on top and we will get in touch as soon as possible) or transferring donations to the account below (only for donations).
